It´s a step up or semi-gun on mellow to moderate rocker road pin with a slight single to double concave and a low, smooth rail. It has speed and nerve, yet balanced and controlled. In bigger waves, the KAMIKAZE sets up the wave from the first bottom turn by maintaining a pure line with no stutters or drifts, a critically important element for timing your next move higher up the wave face or setting up the next section for a potential tube. Generally an inch or two longer and with a similar width and thickness to a regular, versatile shortboard, the KAMIKAZE is to make a larger gun-shaped board easier to ride. The V makes it easier to go rail to rail and to carve a shorter arc on a longer rail line.
