Essentially, it is a balanced, reliable surfboard engineered for everyday surfing. You can count on it to give you that extra push when you need more speed; furthermore, it’s your best ally when facing the most fun and challenging conditions. Ultimately, this model is the answer for those seeking consistency in their quiver.

Concave Design for Lift and Control
The secret to its versatility lies in its unique bottom contour. Specifically, it features a mellow single-to-double concave with a touch of extra depth. This technical design generates immediate lift in smaller waves, consequently allowing you to glide over flat sections without losing your rhythm. However, that same depth provides total control as the size picks up. As a result, the Monster adapts to the ocean’s power organically.

The Heavy Water Gimme 5 stands out as a high performance swallowtail designed for modern surfing. In first place, this model offers an optional Quad fin system for maximum adaptability. The design features a streamlined outline that prioritizes both speed and precise control. It incorporates a flatter style deck which provides significant advantages during the paddling phase. Furthermore, the soft thick low rails ensure a stable yet responsive feel in the water.

Technical Bottom Contours and Rocker Profile

The Gimme 5 utilizes a sophisticated single to double concave bottom for optimal water flow. This technical shape ends with a clear V in the tail section. Consequently, the board transitions from rail to rail with incredible smoothness at high speeds. Regarding the rocker, it features a soft lower tip entry for easier wave entry. It then moves into a medium tail rocker to maintain maneuverability in critical sections. As a result, the surfer gains a predictable and connected sensation during every turn.

Additionally, the volume distribution allows for early takeoffs even in challenging conditions. The flatter deck keeps the surfer close to the water for better balance. Therefore, you can maintain your momentum while carving through the flattest parts of the wave. Likewise, the specific rail profile prevents the board from catching in choppy water. This combination of features makes the Heavy Water Gimme 5 a reliable tool for consistent performance.

This model is strategically designed to excel in different wave environments. For instance, you should surf it as a Thruster in the three to four foot range. This setup provides the necessary drive and hold for more powerful conditions. On the other hand, the Quad configuration is ideal for waves between one and two feet. Because of this versatility, the board remains functional even when the swell is small. It truly adapts to the daily reality of the ocean.

Similarly, the swallowtail design provides the necessary bite to stay in the pocket. You will enjoy a dynamic ride that encourages technical progression and style.

Why Choose the Heavy Water Gimme 5 Today

In conclusion, this board is the perfect blend of speed, control, and versatility. It joins advanced hydrodynamics with a user-friendly design for demanding surfers. Certainly, having the option between Thruster and Quad setups is a major advantage today. Finally, the high-quality construction ensures that the board remains lightweight and durable over time.

The Pool Toy has an extended rocker, especially in the back half of the board. Its slightly straighter outline helps with projecting this board in the fast-moving waves of the pool. We found the swallow tail works best with the extended rocker maneuvering the board from rail to rail very quickly. We recommend building your Pool Toy with our Flextronics technology. This will make the board feel very lively in the fresh water without being too buoyant like an epoxy sometimes does.

With all the hype surrounding freshwater wave pools, and having Chemistry ambassador, Cheyne Magnusson, operating the B.S.R. wave pool in Waco Texas, we decided to build a model catered to freshwater surfing.

The “Pool Toy” was developed by Jason Bennett with the need to create a high-performance board that will fit in the tight pockets of man-made waves

The Honey Dip is a high performance shortboard that excels in about every type of wave.

Extensive Ramp'd went down in the creation of this model with our team riders to create a high performance shortboard that excels in about every type of wave. The blind “taste test” went on for a year while we compiled feedback critical in the design of this model.

The Honey Dip has a relaxed entry rocker with a single concave feeding into a deep vee off the tail. We widened the tail block ½” more than our standard shortboard models which helped create the straighter outline in the back half of the board for speed unlike any other shortboard we have designed.

The tail also boasts an extreme hip creating a “sweet spot” for increased maneuverability without the loss of speed. Lastly, the fin cluster is pushed back because of the tail width and hip, enabling maximum control without the drifty feel usually associated with wider tail blocks and hips.

Testing this model has been fun due to its ability to perform in about everything. From getting deep head high tubes to launching airs in waist high waves, it made choosing a board easy when heading out for a surf.

We can finally claim with full confidence that this is the fastest model we have ever created. The third installment to our Chem Zen line.

The Zen board line has been a favorite of our customers looking for a forward volume board to get in early on heavy, hollow surf. The Zen3 was built off the need to get into waves easily and to go as fast as possible down the line. This characteristic alone not only makes this ultra-versatile model work well in hollow surf but below average surf as well.

We also narrowed the nose width by 1/4″ compared to the Lights Out model. We recommend this model for waist high to overhead surf.

With these minor adjustments and positive feedback from professionals throughout the year, we are proud to release this blade for the public to enjoy.

A perfect high-performance board to compliment anyone’s quiver. This model usually becomes the board people ride daily.

Brought into the product line by popular demand, the Flashpoint has been a favorite of our customers and team riders who have been ordering it for years.

By far the most user-friendly board model in our high-performance line that excels in about any type of surf from ankle high to a few feet overhead.

This board has more width in the nose and tail which helps it plane easier and maintain speed. It also has a relaxed rocker making it a great paddler.

Order this model 2″ shorter and 1/2″ – 1″ wider than your standard shortboard to excel in smaller waves. Order it your standard shortboard dimensions and feel the benefits of a wider nose and tail, with a lower rocker.

With all the recent hype on the modern, high performance single fin, we decided to take it to the “next level” of high performance with our version of the Twin Fin.

The Daisho is geared towards performance surfers who are looking for a twin fin without sacrificing shareability. Jason took an old curvy 80’s template that had a neat single wing squash tail mixed with a slightly pulled in nose.

With the absence of a center fin, twin fins tend to be fast but lack pivot off the bottom and top that a center fin provides. With that in mind, Jason added a ton of vee between the fins to simulate the feeling of a small center fin.

This model has the drive and speed of a traditional twin yet can be whipped around like a performance thruster. If you are looking to add more stability, a small trailer can be added to this model. Traditional twin fins tend to need to be “throttled down” when maneuvering or they will slide out and be difficult to control. The Daisho thrives off massive amounts of speed and can harness it easily. A terrific addition to anyone’s quiver as it is easily scalable from 5’0” to 6’6” and 20.0L to 50.0L

Bottom contour: slight single into a deep double concave

Tail: pin, thumb, squash

Chemistry Cassette Deck

We once again went nostalgic in creating this performance twin fin from the golden era of shortboard design. Jason Bennett developed the Cassette Deck to be used in the Vizsla Cosmic Creek at Salt Creek where Jason and the other surfer/shaper competitors were asked to shape and use their own rendition of the classic MR Twin Fin.

The board worked so well for Jason that he went on to win the event and decided to keep the hand shaped gem in his personal quiver. This year we all wanted to share this model with you by offering it in our eclectic line of Specialty boards. The beauty of the Cassette Deck model is that it creates and maintains speed with ease while handling more like a thruster rather than a Twin Fin. The bottom concave is vee all the way thru the tail and combined with an MR style fin template they give the Cassette Deck a very high-performance feel.

This model has old school down rails and a concave deck which tends to make the board feel thicker, so we recommend ordering this model 1/8” – 1/4” thinner than your normal small wave board. We also recommend ordering this model 2” – 4” shorter than your standard shortboard because of all that good volume it packs in a shorter rail line.
