Chemistry Pool Toy

The Pool Toy has an extended rocker, especially in the back half of the board. Its slightly straighter outline helps with projecting this board in the fast-moving waves of the pool. We found the swallow tail works best with the extended rocker maneuvering the board from rail to rail very quickly. We recommend building your Pool Toy with our Flextronics technology. This will make the board feel very lively in the fresh water without being too buoyant like an epoxy sometimes does.

This is our go to model when traveling to the ever-increasing man-made waves around the world.

With all the hype surrounding freshwater wave pools, and having Chemistry ambassador, Cheyne Magnusson, operating the B.S.R. wave pool in Waco Texas, we decided to build a model catered to freshwater surfing.

The “Pool Toy” was developed by Jason Bennett with the need to create a high-performance board that will fit in the tight pockets of man-made waves

Chemistry Chem Zenagain

The Chem Zenagain was spawned by the desire to take our Chem Zen model and give it more of a shortboard feel outside the tube. We left all the forward volume our original Chem Zen had in this model.

The post Chemistry Chem Zenagain appeared first on Glassing Monkey.

With the Chem Zenagain we removed the retro beak, added more nose and tail rocker while widening the tail block This allows the board to fit in the curve of the wave easier and keeps the tail loose. You can choose the Chem Zenagain with or without 4 channels.

The 4 channels give the board a bit more bite on the wave, but not too much where you won’t be able to turn it. The Chem Zenagain is a modern version of a proven design that has been a staple in our line up since 2010.

Bottom contour: double concave to vee or 4 channel

Tail: thumb, baby swallow

Chemistry Honey Dip

The Honey Dip is a high performance shortboard that excels in about every type of wave.

Extensive Ramp'd went down in the creation of this model with our team riders to create a high performance shortboard that excels in about every type of wave. The blind “taste test” went on for a year while we compiled feedback critical in the design of this model.

The post Chemistry Honey Dip appeared first on Glassing Monkey.

The Honey Dip has a relaxed entry rocker with a single concave feeding into a deep vee off the tail. We widened the tail block ½” more than our standard shortboard models which helped create the straighter outline in the back half of the board for speed unlike any other shortboard we have designed.

The tail also boasts an extreme hip creating a “sweet spot” for increased maneuverability without the loss of speed. Lastly, the fin cluster is pushed back because of the tail width and hip, enabling maximum control without the drifty feel usually associated with wider tail blocks and hips.

Our high-performance steps up shortboard.

Due to the success of our R2, we decided to develop the R2+ based off team rider Barron Mamiya’s need for more rocker on his shortboard to surf in bigger, hollower waves as seen in his 2017 Triple Crown Rookie of the year campaign

The post Chemistry R2+ appeared first on Glassing Monkey.

The R2+ has 1/4” more nose and tail rocker making it excel in top to bottom hollow surf. The R2+ has a single concave like its predecessor, giving the board the maximum amount of drive.

Ride the R2+ as a more performance everyday shortboard or order it bigger as a step up in larger surf.

We recommend a five-fin setup for this model to allow you to ride as a thruster in performance conditions or as a quad when you need that extra speed boost in waves of consequence.

A perfect high-performance board to compliment anyone’s quiver. This model usually becomes the board people ride daily.

Brought into the product line by popular demand, the Flashpoint has been a favorite of our customers and team riders who have been ordering it for years.

The post Chemistry Flash point appeared first on Glassing Monkey.

By far the most user-friendly board model in our high-performance line that excels in about any type of surf from ankle high to a few feet overhead.

This board has more width in the nose and tail which helps it plane easier and maintain speed. It also has a relaxed rocker making it a great paddler.

Order this model 2″ shorter and 1/2″ – 1″ wider than your standard shortboard to excel in smaller waves. Order it your standard shortboard dimensions and feel the benefits of a wider nose and tail, with a lower rocker.

Since its conception in 2004, the Disk has undergone several changes to become a more functional everyday board. It can accommodate the surfer who has everything in their quiver.

Bottom contour: slight single to double concave

Tail: thumb, swallow, or moon

Disk works well in knee to chest high waves and draws different lines than the common retro-style board. It has a five-fin set-up so it can be ridden as a thruster, quad, twin fin, or a single fin.

Chemistry Beer Fridge

Our new high performance channel bottom shortboard designed for slower types of waves.

The Beer Fridge is another new addition to our high-performance line. This model is a mixture between our Flashpoint and R2 models. The Beer Fridge has a thicker nose and tail foil which makes it an easier riding shortboard

The post Chemistry Beer Fridge appeared first on Glassing Monkey.

The Beer Fridge has a lower overall rocker which assists in paddling into flatter waves and has a subtle hip to narrow the outline through the tail.

Equipped with six channels, this allows the board to have a substantial amount of drive on flat cowardly waves while allowing the board to have bite when putting the board on rail.

The Beer Fridge comes standard with a rounded squash tail and thruster fin setup. When ordering this model, you want to go 1/8″ – 3/16″ thinner than your normal shortboard as this model carries a lot of foam throughout.

By going shorter, the Compression allows the surfer to maneuver their board unlike the big rhino chasers of the past, which only allowed surfers to make a drop. We also recommend going with a four-fin setup to offer the fastest possible fin setup. This will help in the tube, out run big sections, and maneuver the bigger board well.

Bottom contour: slight single into a deep double concave

Tail: pin, round pin, thumb, swallow

The post Chemistry Compression appeared first on Glassing Monkey.

The Compression offers you the ability to ride a shorter more maneuverable board in bigger waves. With this model we added width in the nose and more forward volume to make up for the shorter length.

We recommend going anywhere from 1 to 3 feet shorter than your typical gun while adding 1/2″ to the width and 1/2″ to the thickness. With the combination of a fuller nose, thicker volume flow, and a smooth entry rocker, this model will get you into anything the ocean has to offer.

With this combination we found the board to be fast in slower surf yet holds in bigger conditions. The board also has a thicker nose foil which assists in catching waves.
